The literary genius from childhood showed love for Russian folk art. The famous nanny of Pushkin, Arina Rodionovna, especially contributed to this. She told her ward fairy tales, and he, like any other child, listened to them with a special trepidation in his eyes, which happens, perhaps, only in smart children.

When Alexander Sergeevich grew up, he began to study Russian folklore on his own. Many researchers, Pushkinists believe that it was during this period that the writer had the first sketches of future fairy tales. And some time later, around the 30s of the XIX century, Pushkin began to write fairy tales known to us now.

The first of these were the works “The Tale of the Fisherman and the Fish” (an analysis of which is presented before you), as well as the tales “About the Pope and his worker Balda” and “About the Golden Cockerel”, etc.

The plot of the fairy tale

When writing the fairy tale about the Golden Fish, Pushkin set himself the task of showing the nationality of Russian literature. And it is she who asks for a chic house, a wonderful castle, after which the grumpy wife (according to the usual scenario) begins to demand that the fish make her a queen, and then an empress (in Pushkin's fairy tale - "The Lady of the Sea").

Up to this point, everything seems to be familiar and similar, but further events (and the demands of the restless fisherman's wife continue, in contrast to Pushkin's interpretation) develop somewhat unexpectedly.

The fundamental difference between the two stories

The newly minted Empress in the fairy tale of the Brothers Grimm, after some time, ceases to be satisfied with the new role. And she demands that the fish make her the pope. Goldfish agrees to this as well.

That's just this status also pleases the insatiable wife of a fisherman for a very short time. And finally, she announces her last demand, expressing her desire to become God.

General ending and moral

The patience of the fish reaches the limit, and it returns everything to normal. And before us again is a familiar picture: a poor fisherman with his insatiable wife sit in a broken hut and regret the past.

This litter means that Pushkin was going to include it in the Songs of the Western Slavs. With this cycle, the fairy tale and poetic size are close. ‎ The plot of the tale is taken from the collection of fairy tales by the Brothers Grimm, from the Pomeranian tale "About the Fisherman and His Wife" (). Pushkin, apparently, attributed its origin to the ancient inhabitants of Pomerania - the Slavs "Pomeranians". Freely reworking the tale, Pushkin replaced the Western European flavor with folk Russian. This is probably why he excluded the episode about the old woman who became the "pope" from the final version. The tale is a lie, but there is a hint in it - a lesson for good fellows! The moral hint is seen only by modern Christians, while the ancient pagans also felt the cosmological hint. Let's try to understand how the fairy tale was experienced by those who created it and those for whom they worked. Let's start right away.

The Old Man and the Old Woman in the tale "About the Fisherman and the Fish", as in many other tales, are the Sun and the Moon. The Blue Sea is the starry sky - and, even more precisely, the belt of the Zodiac. Thirty years and three years is the essence of the 33° ecliptic. These are the universal rules of allegorical mythology. Counting degrees from the "point of the north" of the Eternal Zodiac. Having counted 33 ° from it, we get to the very beginning of Capricorn. While in the modern Christian calendar, the New Year begins 10 - 11 days after the solstice. This day is called January 1, and the counting of the month begins with it.

That's why Traven is both April and May. In the "new-pagan" calendar, he is considered from 17 April to 14 May. More accurately and correctly for the ancient era, the month should be defined as follows: - the month of Traven happens between Yaril Veshny (April 23), or Lelnik, later called St. George's Day (April 21), and Yaril Wet (May 22). The sea grass in Grandfather's net is the month of Traven.

In that case and the month of "mud of the sea", that is, the month of spring mud, must be understood as March and April, more precisely from March 22 (spring equinox, Larks, Avsen- first day of the month the beginning of spring!) until April 23 (Yarila Veshny). This is the first month of astronomical spring.

Consequently, the third attempt of Grandfather, which was crowned with success, that is, the capture "goldfish", this is the third month of spring. It happened from May 22 (Yarila Wet) to June 22 (summer solstice, Snake Day - the day of snake weddings).

Surely the “goldfish” is the middle of the month. Surely, because the "golden" color or "golden" material in astronomical allegory is always associated with the summer solstice. And this is also a universal rule of allegorical cosmology. But the "goldfish" itself, of course, is the asterism Western Pisces in the modern zodiac constellation Pisces. The zodiac constellation in ancient times was the Horse, and the Western Pisces, as the asterism of the zodiac Pisces, close to the ecliptic, was very suitable for the plot.

If the point of the summer solstice passed by the asterism Western Pisces, then, according to the law of mythology, she should have died. Grandfather would have to eat this fish. The astronomy of the Moon is such that if the new moon occurs on the summer solstice, then the first quarter with it occurs in the vicinity of the autumn equinox, the full moon occurs in the region of the winter solstice, and the last quarter is quite close to the vernal equinox. At the same time, a week passes between neighboring phases of the moon, and a full circle lasts a month.

The sun at the same time leaves the point of the summer solstice by 23 ° in a month, and reaches an important place on the ecliptic in the sign of Aries, which is now called the Christian “Zero Aries” (0 ° Aries). Members of the solar family (Sun, Moon and five visible planets) have their own celestial nature, fundamentally different from the nature of the constellations and individual stars (members of the family of celestial Dragons). It can even be assumed that the Moon wants to become the Sun itself. And this is impossible by definition.

But the error of the Moon is different - it does not take into account the own movement of the Sun among the stars. For 4 weeks, it left the place of the previous meeting, that is, the point of the summer solstice, by 22 ° and reached the border of the constellation Pisces.

It turns out that the miracle is performed by the Sun, and not at all by the “goldfish”. But the Sun also becomes a magician only for a short time, within one month, and even then, only because the summer solstice happens to him at the “magic” azimuth 108°. To receive magical gifts, you need to be at the right time and in the right place!
